Thanks in advance! Hello rganglion! There are many opportunities for Intramurals at uOttawa Med! We participate in the intramural leagues run through main campus and regularly have hockey, basketball, ultimate, soccer, dodgeball and flag football teams. Hello AvgApplicant, uOttawa has research opportunities is many different disciplines from plastics to orthopedics, to preventative medicine, public health and medical pedagogy. Medical students have many opportunities to conduct paid research during summer vacation through a Summer Studentship program. The University of Ottawa has a few specialized research areas of excellence: the Ottawa Brain and Mind Institute, the Centre for Infection, Immunity and Inflammation, Cardiovascular and Vascular Biology and the Epidemiology, Public Health and Preventative Medicine. Is it AFTER the deadline to accept (which im assuming is may 28 ish) and how long does this process go on for? It seems very stressful having to wait until around Julyish if we have other things to do in the summer like deciding to write the MCAT Thanks again! Based on past years, they don't start making calls until after the first deadline to accept, may 28. It wouldn't really make sense to call before that point, because the list is so dynamic.
