Does the waiting list move (OOP) and are ranks still given?

I'm an OOP applicant who just found out I was waitlisted. Rank #5

I have a couple questions that I'm hoping some people might know about: Not sure if this info is released, but maybe re-applicants might have some insight.

1. How many people have been on the waiting list in previous years? (particularly for OOP)

2. How much has the waiting list moved in previous years? (particularly for OOP)

I'm rank #20 on the waitlist OOP. i'm surprised they even extended it this far, and I'm not very hopeful.

But congratulations! I'm interested to hear how much the waitlist moves in previous years too.

Waitlist movement varies by year for obvious reasons. However, for IP it usually is ballpark of 15-20+ spot movement in previous years. Last year ~24 people got in from the waitlist, the year before ~28.

For OOP I don't remember but the movement is usually ~10-15 spots on average but can be more too.

All things considered this year for IP there are two campuses and that may change the movement of the waitlists, that is to be seen.
