Hey kids,

Just wanted to wish everyone (including myself) some good luck for the coming week of news. It's been a long wait... and we all deserve gold stars for making it this far!

I'm heading up to Ottawa this weekend to run the National Capital Race half-marathon which will hopefully keep my mind at ease. So if anyone is out on the route sunday morning... look for a brown guy wearing a running room t-shirt and cheer!

*crosses his fingers... his toes... and the hair of the trolls he has lined up along his desk* (ok there are no trolls... hmm... do you think that would help?!?!).

<pagetext>Hi there,

Two years ago, my UofT acceptance came in a plain, letter sized, white envelope with the blue UofT logo on the upper left corner. It was a little thicker than one sheet of paper, but it wasn't the size of some other school's acceptance packages.
Yikes! :eek I'm glad you offered up that description, aneliz, else I'd be even a wee bit more jittery if that sort of envelope were to appear in my mailbox next week. :)

Cheers,

Kirsteen

Last year acceptances came in big brown envelopes (No. 9 1/2, dimensions: 229 x 305 mm). The name, address of the applicant, and OMSAS application number of the applicant was printed on a white sticker. The left upper corner had a stamp with the sender's address:

Admissions & Awards

1 King's College Circle, Room 2135

Toronto, Ontario

Canada M5S 1A8

Seems that envelopes have changed a bit over the years... there isn't a U of T logo on mine. Interesting is that the letter inside is dated May 30, 2003... the mail stamp is "29 V '03" (or May 29, 2003). I got the letter on the second of June.

AFAIK the waitlist and reject letters are in (the smaller) white No. 10 envelopes (dimensions: 105 x 241 mm).

A detailed discussion about paper/envelopes sizes is here and here.

Best of Luck!

That's interesting, UTMed07, because I was walking past the admission office just a few days ago, and saw the secretary handling a small stack of large brown envelopes like you described!

Mydream88,

last year they were fortunate to receive their packages on the Monday June 2. I believe it had been sent out on the Friday, so there is a high probability that you will see something tomorrow morn!! Good Luck Everybody!!
