Which CPR Course Do I Take?

Hi guys,

I'm a bit confused as to which course I take. I am currently enrolled in a CPR C Course that is about 6 hours through red cross. But, I've noticed that some other people are taking the First Aid w/ CPR C that is about 16 hours. Is it sufficient to do just the CPR C Course?

Thanks,

PB

You have to take Standard First Aid with CPR level C. The 6 hour class is only the CPR class.

I took it through the red cross this past weekend and it was Sat and Sun 9-5.

I'm pretty sure we only have to do CPR level C and not first aid. From the acceptance letter:

"Medical students must have completed a Basic Rescuer Level C (Adult, Child, and Infant) course..."

I did not see ANYTHING about first aid. Why would they want you to know first aid? We're going to be in doctor's offices and hospitals!

I thought I would help clear up some confusion. Here is what the admissions office had to say:

The first aid course is recommended but not mandatory. CPR level C is required.

I hope this helps!
