Medical/Dental insurance for med students?

Hey

 

I was wondering if anyone could let me know if we have any medical or dental coverage as students at OttawaU? I am no longer covered under my parents plan and I need to get a dental check-up and get new glasses 8o and I was thinking "if i have insurance in September, maybe I will wait instead of paying for it all myself"

There is a thread about this in the temporary med students forum and I posted a link to the description of the plan there.

 

A dental check up will not be covered. Only dental coverage is for emergency/accident. So you may as well do it now.

 

I am not sure about the glasses. They weren`t mentionned in the plan description...and I don`t have glasses yet!
