If I accept Ottawa with the condition that I may get in at another school and go there, if I do get in at that school, will I automatically be taken off of the Ottawa admissions offer, or will I get to decide then which school I want?

Be careful. I don't remember where I heard, but I think the Canadian schools talk more and more about their shared candidates. I would not risk a firm acceptance if I were you. If it is the U.S though I can imagine you are safe.

I think your best bet would be to just call the admissions office and ask. The ones who work in the UO office are very helpful.

Yes, call the office to be sure.

I believe the way it worked last year, was that once you submitted a firm acceptance to OMSAS they automatically cancelled any conditional acceptances you had.

Also, if you conditionally accepted, say Ottawa, and by the final deadline (was it July 15?? or something??) it became firm if you didn`t have any other firm acceptances anywhere else. So at that point you were required to send in the deposit etc.
