acceptmeplease
Hi Everyone! I was wondering if any current students had any input on what stethoscopes to purchase for the UBC medical program? From what I've heard, both the Littmann Classic III and the Littmann Cardiology IV are acceptable. Any input on which one will serve us best? Thanks so much. Synth1
Either will be perfectly adequate for not hearing the murmurs preceptors point out to you. medstress, cam_the_cob, frenchpress and 7 others 1
cam_the_cob
my aunt (a cardiologist) gifted me a Littmann Master Cardiology, will this do? It just has the diaphragm (no bell), but apparently pressing with different pressures can still allow you to hear the low and high frequencies. so in theory this should be okay? Yes, this is a step up from the classics - it’s a good stethoscope. The tuneable diaphragm works well, you get used to it over time. cam_the_cob
