Guest dayne67
Hi! This is my first time posting at UWO Med Forum. I am in engineering and I want to eventually apply to Med School at UWO. I have taken a bunch of half credit courses in liberal arts. I have taken 2 half credits in history ("American Civil War" and then "Cold War: Period of Unrest") and , 2 half-credits in psychology ("Human Behaviour" and then "Critical Thinking", and and 1 half-credit in sociology ("Caribean Culture and Society"). All these courses require a student to write an essay that is worth 30%-40% of the total course mark. Can these courses be counted as essay courses to fulfil UWO admission requirements? Guest aneliz
Most likely yes. The definition of an essay course is this: "any non-science course in which the student is required to write one or more full-length essays complete with references" And, essay style exams DO NOT count.
