McGill Software Engineering to Med

If you can get a high GPA yes. If you can't get a high GPA then no. That's basically all that matters.

Does the software engineering program make you eligible for registration with a professional order? If it does then you'd get a small boost in your academic evaluation for that, but likely not enough to counteract a lower GPA. My understanding is that GPAs that are considered to be "good" amongst engineering students are generally not high enough to be competitive for med since McGill doesn't care about the difficulty of your program, only your cGPA. That said, from what I've heard there are always some engineering majors in each med class, so it's definitely possible.
