I'm currently working on the Non-maritime 250-word essay and I was wondering if you would recommend bringing in personal experiences to back up our interests in specific things at Dalhousie? For example, I'm interested in specific research topics because of my family history of chronic conditions - should I bring in a brief sentence explaining this?
