Guest ale loofa
This question may be moronic... Are grades from polytechnical schools included in GPA calculations for medical schools? I already have an honors university degree, and I'm not interested in pursuing a second university degree at this time, but my GPA could use a boost. I am interested in several health-related certificate programs at a technical college, as they would more useful for the job market. Would medical schools look at these grades? If yes, how would college grades be weighted in comparison to university grades? Thanks!
Guest aneliz
Medical schools will generally only consider university level courses as part of your GPA. They will want to see transcripts of all post-secondary education, but usually college level courses do not count towards the admission decision. I would suggest that you call the specific schools that you are interested in applying to for an official answer.
