Dropping a class

Just a quick question.....I was planning on taking a summer course and after a few weeks decided I didn't really need it....does dropping it look bad? (i.e. a withdrawn on your transcript?) I don't really think it would but just curious what others think

I can't see how it would hurt any more than a <50. There are certainly med students with fails on their transcripts, so it's definitely not a deal-breaker.

It depends on the school to which you apply. Schools that use a formula to evaluate their transcript and then have closed-file interviews, for example, will never see it. Still, it's not that big a deal, and definitely better to have a withdrawal than a poor grade!
