Ontario plans to eliminate OAC/Grade 13 (next year?)...will we see a doubling of applicants in 2006?

I've had tons of experience doing research of all kinds over the last many years...some topics have included...development of new tools for cataract surgery...pharamacokinetics, efficacy and bioequivalence of new drugs...basic vision research...surgery pain research...research re: women's experience of pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood...human factors research associated with product usage and design...and a bunch of telecommunications/web research (e.g., wireless devices, cellular networking, optical switching, hybrid fibre-coax networks and end-user equipment, business and residential telephones) etc., etc. I've also taught (i.e., TA'd) univariate and multivariate stats as well as research methods at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

 

With my background, what types of projects could I expect to be able to get involved in either during the school year or during the summer? Also, would research count as an 'Elective'?

 

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
