Transferring to UBC med

How advisable is doing medicine at another Canadian or US med school and then transferring to UBC med for third year? Is competition high? Anyone knows of people who have done so? Is this a realistic plan?

 

I love Vancouver too much and would like to graduate from UBC but getting in seems to not be as easy.

Probably really hard to do so unless there are vacancies. It says on their website they will accept transfers from accredited US and Canadian med schools but I wouldn't count on transferring back in. I thought that that might be something I want to do but now I love Chicago too much! There's always the possibility of doing some fourth year rotations in Vancouver though.
