Guest reahg
I just heard the other day that UVic will have 24 seats for an Island Medical Program starting in the fall of 2004. Wondering what everyone thinks about this. Any comments or Info. to pass on? Personally I think its great.
Guest Perplexed
not great unless they have more resident seats available, and improve on the criteria of med admission ie raise the bar of admission to the level in line with the rest of Canada (except Mac), what kind of doctor will someone who can talk and talk but can not hold enough information in their head or think logically to do only a 70-75% GPA. Do patients want entertainment or cure? What do you want if you are sick? Surely there are enough applicants with great GPAs that can talk and talk too. Guest Citrobacter
I think that it is great that they are increasing the number of seats. Now if only they make it more competitive to attact more applicants (in comparison with the eastern schools)
