Palm Vs. Pocket PC for UBC

Hey there,

Another techie-type question!

Are any of you planning on getting a Palm/Pocket PC for school? I know there is a thread for this in the "general" section of this forum, but I thought I'd ask UBC med. students specifically, since some models might be more popular at UBC/affiliated teaching hospitals compared to other sites/provinces.

Thanks for your input!

:)

UBC's been putting together an initiative involving Palm-based PDA's (not Pocket PC, however), which would see a lot more usage of PDA's on the hospital floors. It has not materialized at this point (I heard about it a couple years back, and still nothing), and I'm not sure you should pick your platform based on this. I'd rather go with whichever you think will fit your needs best, within the price range you can afford. There's tons of "free" medical programs out there for the Palm's, which you might be able to tap into if you know the appropriate UBC med students, and I expect the same to be true of the Pocket PC's, although I never investigated that as I have a Palm-based PDA.
