Hi Mac,

If you are on the west campus, Mark Donaldson is your best contact for this info. Bryan Stamm is the contact for the east campus.

There are a number of named bursaries, and the general bursary fund that is divied up amongst applicants. The money is dispursed to students based on unmet need. Only a percentage of your unmet need may be covered by bursary funds though. Students will be given information about bursary applications a little further into the summer. Even if you feel you don't qualify for osap, put in an application for it. If you are declined you can still apply for bursaries, but you will need to show that you were declined. On the flip side, if you don't apply for OSAP, you won't be able to apply for bursary money. Its somewhat confusing, which is why it is important to connect with Mark D or Bryan S at NOSM.

Last years group saw a fairly big variance in the amount that each student got, your assets and liabilities will affect the amount that you might qualify for. So, on that note, its impossible to tell you what might be able to count on.

There is a fair amount of money in the bursary pool, however it is only the interst from that fund that is given to students.

This link will provide you with a bit of info, scroll down to the section on finances.
