Deferral for Masters

Hi all,

 

I was just accepted into UofT meds for the fall but I have yet to finish my MSc. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with requesting one year deferrals as a graduate student...ie. what do I do? who should I talk to? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your first bet would be to contact the Admissions Office. Minimally, they could point you in a more precise direction if it is not themselves who handle these requests.

I know someone in the class of 2009 who deferred their Toronto acceptance to finish their Masters. It sounds like Toronto is very generous with their deferrals, but I'd contact them sooner rather then later. Admissions would probably be the first place to figure out where to go with your deferral.
