Criminal Record

Hi guys,

I was wondering how everyone is going to pay the $20 for criminal record check. UBC recommended a certified check or money order. However, I went to my bank yesterday and they're charging $15 for a certified check. I looked up the criminal record site and they have an option of paying the fee on-line using one's credit card. Just curious to see if anyone has tried this method.....

I also got a money order (or wait, was it a certified cheque). Well anyway, talk to your bank and ask them. They'll recommend the cheaper one.

I paid $6.50 for it at TDCanada Trust.

My bank did it for free as a congrats! I am not sure if you can do it on line as the stuff all goes back to med and they forward it on.

Yes I agree with soapy. On the criminal record check form it explicitly says you have to attach a $20 money order or certified cheque with the form, so doing it online and charging to your credit card might complicate the process.

Anyways I got money order from RBC and they charged me $5.
