Guest funkflex00
Hi, does anyone know how the alberta GPA scale (out of 9), relates to the OMSAS GPA Scale. I know for ontario there is a chart we use to see how to calculate our GPA... does anything like that exist for Alberta? Thanks!
Guest Ian Wong
I assume you mean this? www.ouac.on.ca/omsas/pdf/conversion.pdf This is the chart you would use to convert your U of A grades on a 9 point scale, to the 4 point scale used by the Ontario medical schools. As to how non-Ontario med schools would convert your U of A grades, you'd have to visit their websites and see if the information is there. If not, contact their admissions desk to find out. Guest funkflex00
thanks for the response... actually I was looking for info on how to convert my ontario grades, based on the 4.0 scale, to the alberta system of the 9.0 scale. Is there some reference somewhere? Thanks again.
Guest Ian Wong
I didn't see one on the U of A site. Best thing to do is to contact them directly. Ian UBC, Med
