Babinski hammer

I've been told that I should get this instead of the tomahawk kind. I see that there are different kinds -- telescoping ones, ones in which the rubber head can be adjusted and removed, etc. Anyway, does anyone have any tips about purchasing a Babinski hammer?

Thanks!

*sniff* All these posts gone.. I remember there were quite a few anecdotes about portable/unportable/breaking hammers, but can't remember the content..

Hi Darla,

The problem with the long plastic babinski's is that they are awkward to carry around in your pocket and also they tend to break.

I bought a stainless steel one, it is short and the "head" part...the part you hit with, can be removed and screwed on so that it is flat with the handle. So it is easier to carry around. And won't break.

I got it last year at the equipment sale at school. So I would guess you can get it through shoppers.
