Guest blobbo123
Can any Vancouverites recommend a nice, inexpensive hotel near the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia? I have no idea where the "bad" part of town is. Thanks.
Guest aiko
hi, Hotel vancouver and 4 seasons are right there but they're expensive. There's century plaza on Burrard (opposite Sheraton). They have the absolute spa. Fantastic stress reliever. Reasonable rate. Stay clear of hotels with addresses on Hastings St. and anywhere close to Chinatown. Aiko
Guest Ollie
Pretty much anywhere downtown is going to be quite expensive. There is a Holiday Inn (on Howe St I think) that is probably on the lower end of the price scale. If you are super budget there are two hostels on Granville St (Global Village Backpackers, and Hostelling International), but be warned that this is the night club area so if you need to get up early on the Sat or Sun, probably not a good idea. There is another HI off Burrard st, in a quieter area, but a little further from the downtown core (although it's pretty compact, and a cab ride within downtown would be pretty cheap). You can also venture out of the downtown core, but still stay a cheap cab ride away. There is a Hoilday Inn on West Broadway, which is probably as close as you'll get without actually being downtown. As Aiko said, stay away from anything around East Hastings or Main St.
Guest not rex morgan
Did they move the college? It used to be on the kits side of the bridge on Burrard and Broadway.
Guest Ollie
Yes it has moved. It's on Beatty St now.
