Deferred??

Has anyone been deferred by Dalhousie yet? They send out deferals as e-mails.

Hey folks...I got my deferral email today. This is what it looks like:

 

Your application to Dalhousie Medical School was recently reviewed by the Admissions Committee of the Faculty of Medicine. At this time, a final

decision has not been made on your application and therefore, your file has been deferred. Deferred files will be presented to the committee again near the end of June and decision letters will be sent out to all applicants following that meeting.

 

Does anybody know how many people are deferred and what your chances are of actually being accepted? I know this is probably impossible to answer, I'm just looking for some hope!

Hey guys,

I also received a deferral via e-mail today (June never seemed so far away....lol).

(Med2010Hopeful: The admissions website says about 20% of files get deferred. If 280 Maritimers were interviewed, I guess about 56 or so Maritime applicants get deferred? I have no idea how many seats are usually open by June, however. Oh well, I'm just grateful not to be out of the running just yet!)
