Guest Mala2003
This may sound dumb and it adds to my ignorance of American medical schools - but are there any med schools in the US that does NOT require the MCAT?
Guest Mikey59
Not anymore. Until last year, Johns Hopkins and Rochester were accepting students without the MCAT. JHU would look at SAT scores, and I believe Rochester took a more "holistic" approach to scanning applications. Today, the MCAT is mandatory at every single onshore school. One can get into Caribbean school (some don't require the MCAT) and come back to the states after, but that would be a roundabout way of avoiding the test.
