Guest Lily

Hi guys,

I'm an Alberta resident and I graduated with a BSc (honors) in June 2004. I have been working in a lab this past year.

My GPA for my best two years was 3.82 and my cumulative GPA was 3.75. My MCAT scores were: 11 (PS), 9 (VS), 11 (BS) and Q (WS).

I have done some volunteering and participated in some extracurricular activities, but not an insane amount. I just did things that I enjoyed and would have done even if I wasn't applying to med school.

I was accepted by U of C on May 6 (Yay! :D ). This was my first time applying to med school. I also applied to U of A and had an interview there. I don't know if I've been accepted or rejected from there yet. I'm honestly not sure which school is my first choice. U of C and U of A both seem to have great programs.

Lily :)

Hey,

I was accepted on May 27 from the waitlist.

I'm an Alberta resident, who just finished my third year of a B.Sc. Honors degree.

I have a 3.89 cGPA, and 12(PS), 9 (VR), O (WS), 11 (BS) on the MCAT.

I'm not sure if I'm taking this spot. Still waiting for information from Ontario and UA. This is my first time applying.

Good luck!

<title>To Out of Provice UofC Moderators</title>

<pagetext>I'm a grad student from Ontario. Just wanted to clarify whether UofC uses graduate courses when calculating the GPA for the two best years. If I combine my best two undergraduate years I have an aberage of about 3.6. but when I convert my last year of undergrad plus last years grades from my graduate degree (during which I only took 1 class), my average hits a 3.8. How does this process work and do I have a chance??

Also if there are any Out of Province Grad students that actually got in out there, would it be too personal to ask you what your GPA was (best two years) and please mention whether they looked at only your undergraduate courses or 1 year of graduate and 1 year of undergraduate.

Thanks

<pagetext>This has been pretty quiet so I thought I'd see if anyone has heard anything from UofC in the last while or should we not expect something for a while?
