Guest UTStudent03
Hello all, I'm a UT 3rd year student (as you can probably tell by my name) interested in applying to Queen's Med. Anyway, I have a question about gpa calculations. Does admissions require a full course load (5 credits) when calculating either a student's cgpa or the last two year's gpa? If so, how do they view pass/fail courses or transfer credit received from another institution? The reason I ask is that I am considering taking a distance ed course from the U of Guelph in addition to my UT courses to make up a full course load for this year (and possibly next year). However, on my transcript it would be noted that the distance ed courses would be only "credit received" without a mark. How does Queen's Med Admissions view this situation? One more thing. I realize this is the wrong board to ask in, but if anyone could fill me in on how other Ontario med schools view such a situation, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out!
