s_sadry
for ottawa's awards section, are you guys inquiring about the competition of the awards you won? i have no idea how many ppl i was competing against for some awards (e.g., NSERC)....do they expect us to find out how many ppl applied that year? i hardly thought so. secondly, if you didn't do a publication, poster presentation at a fancy science convention etc...what do you type in that field for the research? thanks. Kirsteen
Hi there, Regarding awards, the year I applied (and interviewed) at Ottawa I did include the numbers re: competition for each award. It took a wee bit to find this information, but I was glad I did. As for the research section, it might be worthwhile to find out if Ottawa include presentations at school-based fora, e.g., university research days, etc. Although unlike larger conferences they are not generally peer-reviewed, they can still constitute research productivity. Cheers, Kirsteen
Lady
When I applied last year, I included how many people were considered/applied for each award that I received. Finding that info out wasn't actually as hard as I thought it would be. Good luck!
