butterfwy Posted September 23, 2006 Report Share Posted September 23, 2006 Hi, I am doing an Independent Study Project for psych research this semester as one of my 5 courses, and was planning to include it as a research endeavor in my OMSAS Autobiographical sketch. I noticed in Ottawa's School Submission, they mentioned that any research project done as a part of a course SHOULD NOT be included under the "Research" Section. My question is: Does that include my ISP? I was under the impression that they were talking about smaller projects within a course as opposed to a project which IS the course. Kirsteen Posted September 23, 2006 Report Share Posted September 23, 2006 Hi there, Using UofO's definitions, it would appear that, since your research work does form a component (in this case 100%) of the work for a course, then it would be exempt from inclusion as "research" in their application.
