Research Assistant: Employment or Research?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Personally, I would classify my position as a research assistant under "employment" (since you get paid for it and work for someone else) and save the "research" designation for research-related accomplishments such as publications, abstracts, posters and presentations/talks at conferences, but that's just me.

hey guys,

i agree with Timmy on the research/employment conflict.

i also did the same thing. if it was a summer-job, it goes into employment, and for research, i went by the criteria Timmy's got down.

no new info from me, just giving strength in numbers.

best wishes.
