dent100
I attend University of Toronto at Mississauga. I was looking at the pre-reqs required for UBC dentistry and found English and Math requirements to be rather confusing. I emailed them and they said that they dont provide course equivalents. I was wondering does a first year english course at university level satisfy the english requirement for UBC For math, i only have first year calculus (1 credit). How many more courses in math would i require? UBC webiste for math requirements posts 6 credits which makes no sense Thanks in advnace for the help
bellaortho
For 6 credits of math you would have to take the second calculus course as well. In my case I did. The english is tricky, maybe someone else on the forum can add their help ________ HAWAII DISPENSARY
Tode
About the English requirement: Yes a first year english course does count; that's in fact what I'm taking at UWO to fill the pre-requisite for UBC.
dent100
Thanks for the replies Bellaortho, do u mean a second year calculus course or a full 2nd year credit (ie 2 courses)
coolwater
6 credits = 6 semester hours if you have a 1 credit math course at utm, it should suffice. 1 credit at uoft = 6 semester hours i wish uoft would convert to the standard credit hour system; things would be so much easier for us
ibuprofen7
6 credit at ubc means that the course lasts from sept( beginning of school year) to april(the end). Although there is some days' off between the two semesters, they are connected.
