littlebuster
http://www.machelper.com/ That site has their address etc on it Your macbook comes with a 3 month telephone support type warranty, AND it also has a 1 year hardware warranty, so you could take it in anytime within 1 year of the purchase date. littlebuster
Some people have the greenish discolouration, some have a more cheetos colour. Were you actually able to get the colour off??
unknown user 7
Wow, green...cheetos...that kinda gross. What on your hands that makes it turn those colors?
littlebuster
They don't really know what caused it, but the plastic they replaced it with seems less porous, so perhaps that had something to do with it. Any of the new macbooks shouldn't have this problem, it was only the ones made within the first month or two I think.
SunE
Some people have the greenish discolouration, some have a more cheetos colour. Were you actually able to get the colour off?? I believe yours was this off-white, yellowish, cheetos-ish color. Wasn't it? I remember laughing at it, right after I laughed when your mac froze. littlebuster
Yeah, mine was cheetos style. I thought it added a certain panache. And I really don't think my mac froze, you must be talking about that time you starting making fun of my mac and then your laptop screen turned into the blue screen of death... Fishy81
From my experiences (working at the lab full of chemicals), if something doesn't come off with alcohol, it may come off with acetone. I think nail polish removers are acetone-based, so you may be able to use that. Just don't pour it all over your computer.
littlebuster
hmmm... if it's coming off with acetone/alcohol, it's probably not the plastic issue, but it's worth asking anyway. You could always call machelper and see what they think.
