DentistWannaBe
I pretty much went over the biology section of Kaplan good. I am wondering what other materials do ppl use to give your the edge since all of us have gone over Kaplan once already. Thank you!

Fredster
I agree... Baron's has some material that is not covered in Kaplan and, in my experience, has shown up on the exam (e.g. some botany material and additional embryology).

Baron's has some material that is not covered in Kaplan and, in my experience, has shown up on the exam (e.g. some botany material and additional embryology). is that just "Barron's how to prepare for the DAT" book or does Barron's have separate books for each section such as bio, chem, PAT, carving etc..?? thanks -wisdom_tooth

Thank you! to be honest....u dont need an edge, I think Kaplan is way more than enough for u to score 24+ on BIO for the DAT, but hey if u have time to kill then look for other material. wishywish82
i used princton and silver's MCAT review for most of the stuff. In the front of the barron's book there's a breakdown of a typical 40 questions for bio and a typical 30 questions for chem. any old mcat book is fine for alot of the sections biochem, genetics etc but as mentioned before the barron's book covers a few areas typically not covered by other books. RicktheDentist
I used the DAT book from Kaplan and got 26. You can get it at chapters.
