bestknightmare
I've asked this question in the general discussion but i'll ask here again. do we need to have the mcat mark available before schools or amcas start looking at our application? ie. writing mcat this coming sept....does that mean there is no point in submitting my application now? Jochi1543
No, you have to submit ASAP if you wanna apply this cycle, verification takes forever. Send your transcripts in pronto, too. Yeah, most schools won't send you secondary applications until your MCAT score is ready, which will make you a rather late applicant, but at least they will not have to wait for your AMCAS - if you submit it in October when your MCAT score is ready, you won't get verified in time. Note that some schools won't look at September MCAT results - Columbia comes to mind.
Madz25
yup, i agree with jochi. you can submit before you have your mcat score. your application wont be reviewed by each school until they receive your scores. if you will be getting your score in september, i suggest you apply ASAP and get all the secondaries in and all the reference letters etc. that will take up a lot of time.
