percentages versus letter grades

Recommended Posts

I'm just wondering...my school's gpa is on a 4.0 scale and not a 4.3 scale. Does that put me at a disadvantage for schools like memorial or BC because I can't possibly hit above 90%. If I had a perfect 4.0 average I would only have a 90% which isn't even amazing. How is this fair? Is something done to compensate for this. Who's to say I wouldn't have gotten an A+ in many courses if that grade was available?! insight someone?
