The PC party has said that if re-elected, they plan to expand the number of seats at the school from 60 to 66 next year, and up to 78 within 5 years. I expect it will happen, since at this point Danny Williams would have to eat a baby on live TV to lose the election.

 

Here's the point in the party platform:

 

Through a $15-million expansion and $11.75 million in new annual operational costs, expand the number of spaces for Newfoundland and Labrador medical students at the Memorial University Medical School by 10% in the coming year and 30% within the next five years, bringing enrollment from the current 60 up to 66 next year and to 78 within five years
