Millenium Scholarships

Are students going into first year medicine eligible to apply for these awards? If so, how do you go about doing this?

I'm confused...because I thought they cut the funding for those?

The prorgram is being killed, but it's also being replaced by another program. The new program is supposedly set to start in 2009, so I'm not sure how 2008 will be considered.

 

Also, I don't see where it says the Millennium bursary awards are only eligible to undergrads? Medicine is also considered an undergrad program no?

 

Anyways, I don't know the details, never received one, but it says you're automatically considered when you apply for financial aid:

i've been awarded 3000 in millenium bursary funding as part of my gov. student loan application.

 

no seperate application, they just tacked it on as part of the funding.

same for me, $3000 millennium and $100 for Queen Elizabeth 2

Same. The Millennium bursary states that you have to be an undergrad (which we are), and that you can't have received more than 32 months of assistance from them, so I guess it depends on whether or not you were getting money from them during your undergrad before med school.
