rogerroger
I was forwarded this CMA journal article concerning stethoscope placement. I thought it was an entertaining read, and thought I would share. http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/reprint/163/12/1562 Apparently doctors being "cool" costs Canadians $20.5 million a year. Satsuma
How did he get this published? It's hilarious! There is always a funny joke article in the CMAJ around xmas...not sure if they do it any other time. This year it was something about dark vs milk vs white chocolate. Dr.Cave
It's obviously a joke. They even include a joke for nerds like me: the standard deviations for their data sets are far greater than the deviations of the min and max values from the means. Funny article tho and probably has some truth to it. The mean age of subjects in the traditional group was 67.4(range 45–97, standard deviation [sD] 62) years and of those in the cool group 38.7 (range 24–50, SD 21) years.
