How do med schools in Ontario view multiple MCATs?

I was contemplating whether to sign up for another MCAT test date..haven't gotten my results back from July 18th yet. The results could go either way.

 

I am not sure how do schools view multiple MCAT retakes? what if I sign up for a test date in September but might have to re-write next year...do schools frown upon on multiple attempts on improving the score?

no they don't frown on that at all.

After every application cycle, all informations are shredded or they say it. Beside you only need to submit 1 set of MCAT score (at least for ontario) as long as they are valid (up to 3 years old - correct me if incorrect.)

If you're writing the MCAT in Sept, and scores won't be released until after the Oct 1 deadline, do you have to inform the schools that they should wait for your new scores?

I believe you have until oct 15 to release the scores to them. Of course with the expected date of oct 14 release date for the sept 12/13 dates at least that seems a bit tight

OMSAS states they are aware that scores sometimes are released late but we must ensure we release them as soon as they are made available.

I was wondering if any schools would consider only the best scores within each section amongst all of the MCATs taken.

Say I have 12 11 11 M then 12 11 14 O and then 8 11 13 Q would any school (Canadian or US) take the best (being 12 11 14 Q).

Some American schools do that (I'm not aware of which). No Canadian schools do.
