Do we have a consensus here that the deadline really should be 11:59pm *tonight* not last night!?

 

11:59pm on Sept 2nd is still 14 hours away!

I just want to copy and paste everything in!

Im prett sure the deadline hasn't passed. This must be a mistake, I mean it CLEARLY states that the deadline is on the 2nd @ 11:59pm... Avenir (or anyone else who knows), why did they extend the deadline 3-4 years ago? similar problem?

Haha this is crazy. There is no way there was any ambiguity in the admissions deadline of Sept 2 at 11:59 PM. They HAVE to either be having a problem with the system or have screwed up and will fix it soon.

I sent them an email too. Hopefully they will see all the emails and come to their senses and let us submit our applications. But I have a feeling they might not...

Why wouldn't they though... we are clearly capable of following instructions (we are pre-med students for crying out loud!).

 

This is an issue with the way they stated the deadline, and I will continue to ask to complete my application because I have only worked for years to be able to apply.

I think I have the same problem. Saved it last nite only 1/2 done and now I can only "view the application" under the "Action" section. Or is there another place to go where you edit your app?

 

This is absurd. I spent +$200 to send my transcript in on time.

get with teh program! lol, we are all in the same boat. EVERYONE, send them an e-mail!!!! If they know this is a major issue, they are more likely to fix it.

Just sent an email. Honestly, im pretty sure once the office is aware of this issue it will be resolved. The deadline is clear, many have emailed, i think we should be gold.

That would be extremely bittersweet.

 

Nice to have the extra time, but that means I spent a large chunk of change trying to get my transcript sent in time when it was completely unnecessary to do so.

I also agree that they should consider extending the deadline, and not just correcting it.

 

For me at least, it takes a surprisingly long time to copy and past each individual description for each individual NAQ in the application, and we've lost time to do that because of this confusion.

 

I suppose it's fair to say that some of us may have lost time due to rocking back and forth in the corner this morning after realizing the ambiguous deadline.

 

I guess we should just find the humour in this (and you have to admit, this is at least a little funny) and continue working under the assumption that the system will magically open up later today for the 11:59pm deadline.

OMFG. Imagine the scare I had this morning, after a whole weeks of work for naught. I was waiting for my Transcript to appear to be "received" before the payment (I sent the transcript last Thursday via courier from Edmonton, but it's status has yet to be updated)... I sent like 20 messages via their stupid system... spamming must work!!!!

Committee members will see right through last-minute application attempts. A good essay and good activity descriptions take time to develop.
