L'université de Laval est mon premier choix pour étudier en médecine. Quelle serrait un GPA compétitif pour appliquer? Est-ce que Laval n'aime pas les applicants de sujet non-traditionellement relié à la médecine (e.g. Psychologie)? Comment est son attitude vers les étudiants anglais? justletmein Posted November 26, 2008 Report Share Posted November 26, 2008 Do a search for the CRU calculation at Laval. Your GPA will be converted based on the "difficulty" of your program. Not sure what its like for psychology. There are good things and bad things for anglos at Laval. The good= Even if you fail the french test, all you have to do is take a class (vs. Montreal where you won't even get an interview) The bad= No papers, no exams no anything in English (except a few textbooks). zizany Posted November 26, 2008 Report Share Posted November 26, 2008 je viens de psychologie (uqam) et un gpa de 4,07/4.30 me donnait 32.7 de CRU (cut-off de 32.0). En fait pour psychologie la feuille de calcul de CRU de l'université laval m'a donné pile ma CRU donc c'est comme ça qu'ils les calculent... mais par contre je sais pas comment ils convertissent les notes sur 4.0 en notes sur 4.3... d'après moi avec 3.7-3.75/4.0 et plus tu devrais être invité à remplir le QAS pour ce qui est du fait que psychologie est non relié à la médecine, je n'ai eu aucun problème. Ils ne demandent pas dans parler dans le QAS et ne posent aucune questions là dessus aux entrevues non plus puisque ce ne sont pas des entrevues individuelles... donc ca change rien du tout... (sauf peut-être que l'indice de force du programme est un peu plus bas pour la CRU) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
