ikant100
I understand Epocrates is not good because it doesn't have canadian drug trade names. I heard that DrDrugs and LexiDrugs both have Canadian names, and DrDrugs is wayyy cheaper than the Lexi-Drugs+Lexi-Interact. What do people recommend for their drug reference during clerkship? I'm just worried that DrDrugs is somehow inadequate...?? Thanks for any advice!
Lactic Folly
I've used DrDrugs + PEPID without problems.. if DrDrugs doesn't have something, I can look it up on the internet. I do think it is adequate.
ikant100
thanks Lactic Folly! Does DrDrugs have an drug interaction utility like LexiInteract or no? Also, what is PEPID and do I have to get that with DrDrugs? Sounds costly... thanks!
Lactic Folly
DrDrugs doesn't have a drug interaction utility, but it does have a section for each drug on interactions, which I find more convenient to read over anyway. PEPID is a comprehensive clinical resource that was purchased by our school. It also contains a drug reference, along with a drug interaction utility. Having a clinical reference is nice, but if you are just looking for a drug reference, DrDrugs should be sufficient.
