danyl
I'm actually a first year medical student in quebec, and I've heard that it was'nt impossible to do part or my full clerkship(or externat as we call it in french) outside Canada(in the US)...By clerkship, I'm refering to the 2 years of in-hospital practical training after the 2 preclinical years? Thanks for your answers
A-Stark
You can certainly arrange clerkship electives at other schools. I don't know how it works at your school, but at Dal this becomes possible in fourth year.
Maxime
Danyl, I don't know where you're studying, but in third year, for a "stage à option", one of my friends went to do 2 months of radiology at Mount Sinai, New York (we were at Sherbrooke together). It's definitely possible (a couple of my friends also went to France..). I doubt that you could do more than the optional "stages" though...
