transfer credits from college

Recommended Posts

Hi, can anyone tell me how UBC looks at transfer credits when calculating the cumulative gpa? I went to kwantlen college for 1.5 years before transferring to UBC. Do they just look at the courses as completed and give me the credits or do they actually count them in cGPA. Ex if I had an A+ (kwantlen only gave letter grades), ubc would count it as 90 in cGPA? Thanks!!

Your grades are definitely counted towards your GPA. As far as I know, if your institution does not include % on your transcripts, UBC takes the lowest percentage of that grade (so, yes, A+ at SFU/Kwantlen = 90%, A=85%, and so on...). Lame, I know. Gives a slight bias/advantage towards UBC undergrads (or other students whose transcripts show %).
