UBC Dentistry - changing application deadline for the next cycle

It's been a long time. Just wanted to give you keeners a heads up that the application deadline has moved up due to the Vancouver Olympics to Oct 2009. I believe the exact date is the 13th. I think it is not available online yet, so keep checking, but do not miss the deadline.

Haha, Maybe you SHOULD hope that people miss the deadline. It increases your chances of getting in! It has happened before where UBC changed the deadline without really notifying anyone who didn't check the website regularly. That would have been a good year to apply!

Yeah, I remember in undergrad they released the details of that year. People who applied had almost 100% chance of getting an interview and 50% chance of getting into UBC Dentistry.

can we still write DAT in November though?

The deadline is Oct 13th 2009. This is to accomodate the earlier Open House dates which were pushed up due to the 2010 Olympics.

 

In terms of the Nov DAT, I would suggest that you speak to the Admiss. assistant who will give you the definite right answer. I suspect they would because they have always accepted the Nov DAT of the application year and the exam usually occurs after the deadline anyway.
