golf_squared
Hey All, There is much talk in some of the other forums about the provincial gov giving money to med schools to open up more seats. Anyone know if this has happened at Queen's and whether there will be more seats added for this fall (more than 100)?
supafield
No.... Queen's has been approved to 124 spots a while ago.... and doesn't have the room or facilities to do it.... The government however did just dedicate roughly $58 million to Queen's to build a new med school building.... Figure that'll take until 2011 or 2012 at least to get built.... and then Queen's will start expanding the class.... but unfortunately until there is that new building... no new 1st year spaces. Hopefully these extra spots at other schools draw people off the waitlist though lol.
