pishposh Posted June 12, 2009 Report Share Posted June 12, 2009 Hi All, I'm planning on doing a masters in January, however is it a MA and not a MSc. I'm wondering if this has any affect on my applications to med school. Would a MA be frowned upon when compared to a MSc, or are they all considered equally? (Like a Ba or BSc?). One thing I know it that at UofT for Dentistry they told me they only count marks from MSc degrees. Don't know if meds is the same but better make sure. They do have MSc in gerontology as well though which appears to be more physiologically based. Both seem like great options for future geriatricians! Has anyone ever actually got into Med school with a Gerontology masters? I would be very interested in hearing about your experiences. Any other feedback on the MA vs MSc?
