drsunny
I'm pretty keen on becoming a doctor, but am having a little trouble getting into medical school. My third year GPA was a 3.3, and my forth year GPA was a 3.8. After undergrad I went and did a two year research based Master's (what a waste of time). Now, I'm thinking of returning to undergrad as a non-degree student, and taking a full course load of the easiest upper level courses I can find. I managed to get an interview at Queen's and Dal (IP) this year. I'm waitlisted at Queen's and got rejected from Dal. I think a two year GPA of 3.5 was the weakest component of my application. Can anyone offer some feedback on my plan? I guess I'm aiming for Queen's, Western or Dalhousie. Oh, an additional note. I started my undergrad in one degree, quit after first year, changed schools and started fresh in a new discipline. So, I already have five years of undergrad. Will this make a difference?
