Guest dogeatdog12
Hi guys I have a 3.44 GPA after my first year. and that's not OMCAS scale. am I totally screwed from medical school? I really would like to go to med school somewhere. I know I qualify for McMAster but their admissions process is very hard to understand. Furthermore, I am in immunology and I am currently taking BCH242. I heard that course is horrible and the guy doesn't give out high marks. Anyone else hear about this? Should I leave immunology? thanks
Guest cheech10
You're not screwed. Your first year marks are ok, but you should aim for 3.7ish marks for a good chance at meds. Lots of people are lower in first year, though. As for immuno, I was in the previous program, so I can't comment on BCH242 as I took BCH321 (and Baker was quite funny). I found immuno to be alright, but there are easier programs.
