NewfieMike
I've been stalking down the CIHR website for a few weeks trying to find more information about this. Most Deadlines for funding applications seem to be ~October 1st. I've found application packages for a few funding agencies, but I can't seem to find anything about CIHR. Can anyone help me out? LostLamb
offhand no idea, but I am sure that your graduate unit will inform you about when to apply, as will your supervisor. Ask grad students in your lab when they applied...I'm thinking fall session.
Spacko
Many schools/departments have internal deadlines and review processes prior to the applications being sent out to CIHR. You'd really do best to check with your respective university department and/or the Graduate Studies office.
sparkles3288
Ones in oct I believe, the other is feb. I know you have to make an account and login into the cihr website. I forget the exact site name.
Microbiodude
CIHR is the beginning of the year Jan/Feb. However, if you apply to NSERC (october) you can't apply to CIHR.
sobes74
Definitely be sure to check with your department though, as others have said. Internal deadlines can be months before "actual" deadlines as it takes them a while to decide which applications your department or school will send out. WaveSense
Depends on your degree.. For Masters, I *think* you apply through your department. The CIHR deadline is Feb. 1, 2010 but your departmental deadline will be months before (eventhough they don't do anything with the applications for months!) http://www.researchnet-recherchenet.ca/rnr16/vwOpprtntyDtls.do?prog=781&&view=currentOpps&org=CIHR&type=AND&resultCount=25&sort=program&all=1&masterList=true For PhD you apply directly through researchnet: http://www.researchnet-recherchenet.ca/rnr16/vwOpprtntyDtls.do?prog=789&&view=currentOpps&org=CIHR&type=AND&resultCount=25&sort=program&all=1&masterList=true Deadline is oct. 15 You can only apply if your project falls under the CIHR mandate. Start early! Especially on your research plan. GL!
