Guest Uche
I'm Canadian. I'm doing plain MD. Well if your friend is doing MD/PhD, he's certainly getting a free ride. MD/PhD is free in the US, and they pay you a stipend in addition. Some MD/PhDs actually buy a house while they're in med school. Does anyone know whether MD/PhD is free in Canada, and whether they pay them?
Guest cheech10
A friend of mine is in MD/PhD at UofT with full funding and a stipend, so the finances are at least competitive with the US. But it also depends on the funding the individual schools have, since we don't have a program comparable to the NIH-funded MSTPs (as far as I know...). Guest curious
Hi Da Birdie, You said you have a classmate who was "recently" admitted to UT's MD/PhD program? How long ago was this? Would you mind sharing more info with the rest of the anxious MD/PhD applicants out there? Do you attend UT? Thanks a lot!
